Our Vision

On 14 October 2020, heavy rains caused by Deep Depression resulted flash flooding in many areas of Hyderabad, claiming the lives of at least 79 people and leaving many families displaced.

NASSCOM Foundation is working with Nirmaan Organization to provide immediate relief and rehabilitation for the affected families.
The affected are in need of care kits, masks, disinfectants and food material and the donation will help them brave the floods while the whole world also fights the pandemic.

Operation Sahaya 5.0 by Nirmaan Organization

In view of floods in Hyderabad, Nirmaan is implementing a project – “Operation Sahaaya 5.0” for immediate relief work and rehabilitation at a second phase to support the affected families. This is definitely a disastrous situation for the families considering the COVID 19 pandemic as well.
Their team has visited the following areas and has conducted a preliminary need assessment in the most affected areas, we are planning to visit more areas in the next few days, please find attached pictures depicting the grim situation on the ground.

Areas where Preliminary Need Assessment is completed:
– Golconda
– Guddimalkapur
– Chandrayanagutta
– Falaknuma

Areas where the team has planned to conduct the need assessment:
– Vanasthalipuram
– Dammaguda
– Musheerabad
– Toli Chowki

We request for your support to raise in-kind donations and CSR grants for food, ration, disinfectant, etc., along with volunteering for packaging and delivering materials to the different areas, we will share the detailed needs in our next communication.
